Pumpkin Patch 2016

Last year we took Cash to Green bluff to pick pumpkins. It was fun, but the pumpkins were really spread apart and it was on a hillside with huge mounds. He enjoyed it but I wanted to try something different this year.

My mom told me about a local farm called Carver Farms and I was instantly intrigued. I looked it up online and thought it would be way better than Greenbluff.

Carver Farms did not disappoint! They had flat fields of pumpkins and gourds. They had huge pumpkins, tiny pumpkins, orange, pinkish, green, white, smooth and worty! They also had all these tiny little squash and gourds everywhere. It was absolutely perfect! Cash filled his tiny hands with several small pumpkins and gourds and then tried to pick up some rather large pumpkins.

Cash was able to pick out all the pumpkins and gourds that he wanted and We just kept moving the truck along the path as we made our way across the farm.

They also had a section of cord stalks with Indian corn that Cash got to play and run around in. He held up each new piece of Indian corn that he found like it was buried treasure!

We took our load up to the scales, paid and then loaded our haul back up into the truck.

We will definitely be going back to Carver Farms next year for pumpkin picking!
