Christmas Eve & Christmas Day 2016

Christmas Eve came so quickly this year! Nick caught a really bad virus so he was sick for almost 2 weeks. Luckily he started feeling better Christmas Eve day so we were able to enjoy a relaxing day at home. My mom and I baked for Christmas day and we opened a few presents from nana and we all watched the Grinch Who Stole Christmas together that night. This was Cash's first time watching movie or any kind of tv (besides the election results). He surprisingly lasted almost half way through the movie before he got up and played with his new USA puzzle from nana.

Cash had a blast opening his hat, puzzles and books. He quickly became an expert on ripping paper. He did need help starting some presents but when he did he would say "hard" or "help".

Unfortunately, late Christmas Eve Cash starting having diarrhea. He didn't seem too bothered by it but as a mama I was concerned. He went 6 or 7 times before he went to bed close to midnight. Christmas morning he had it again so Nick went to the store to buy some coconut water so I could make a homemade natural electrolyte drink without all of the junk in it (like in Pedialyte). I made Cash his drink and got him to eat two bananas by reading his zoo book with him and showing him the monkeys and gorillas eating bananas. He was so good about eating like the gorillas!

It was close to noon by the time we finished all of this so we opened stockings and presents late, but Cash didn't mind one bit! Nick and I filled his stocking with colored pencils, a new toothbrush, a coloring pad (which didn't fit in his actual stocking) and Bison Epic meat bars. The meat bar were by far the biggest hit - he ate two whole bars!

After Cash opened his stocking we moved on to presents! We got him some wool slippers (which we have to call woolie mocs to get him to wear), more books and play dough tools.

We had 14 people over for a big Christmas spaghetti dinner and opened our gift exchange presents and the rest of Cash's presents. Cash helped every single person open their presents!

Cash helped me open my present and then moved on to his presents. He loved everything he opened. I may have been more excited about the clothes at the time, but he was really excited to wear his John Deer Tractor pajama shirt the next night. He loved the Plan Toys farm animals, the gluten free play dough and the rocker board

After everyone left for the evening Cash "played play dough" with pops. Pops helped him roll it out and Cash fed the play dough to all of his new animals.

Cash didn't have diarrhea again and acted like he felt goo all day so it turned out to be a great Christmas!
