Morelli Christmas Season 2015

Christmastime is my favorite time of the year! I love love love Christmas! This Christmas season was packed full of so many fun events that it just flew by!

We kicked off the Christmas season by putting up our tree two days after Thanksgiving. Cash was absolutely memorized by the Christmas tree! He kept pointing at it saying "ooooh ooooh"! We ended up buying all new shatterproof ornaments to use instead of our glass ornaments since we have hardwoods and were concerned about them breaking. This ended up being a very wise decision!

It was so fun decorating the tree and listening to Christmas music as a family of three this year!

Cash "helped" us decorate and decided that he needed to taste every ornament that he could get his hands on!

We have decided to focus and celebrate Jesus' birth for Christmas with Cash so we didn't take him to see Santa. We did make a little trip up to Greenbluff with my mom, where we considered showing him a santa to gauge his reaction, but the santa was less than impressive and was set up outside where it was FREEZING! He did enjoy looking at all of the Christmas decorations though!

As we were leaving we ran across the owners adorable Saint Bernard! Cash absolutely LOVES dogs so I think that was the highlight of the trip!

This has been the year for snow thankfully! The past two summers have been extremely dry so it has been so refreshing to see our winter wonderland! Whenever Nick is plowing the snow Cash watches him from out front windows. He pounds on the glass and says "da da" while he watches, it's so adorable!

Cash got to hold his first snowball and he thought it was something really special!

Until he bit it and realized how cold it was!

Luckily, he soon got over the cold and I couldn't get the snowball away from him!

Last year Cash was only 3 days old when we had our Live Real Estate Christmas party so it was awesome to be able to go this year. We rented out the Cork House restaurant and had a delicious sit down dinner for all of our agents. Cash was the only baby there but he was so good! Everyone loved seeing him and commented on his good behavior. I think the fact that we take Cash everywhere with us helps.

Christmas Eve day we relaxed around the house and cooked a huge pot of spaghetti sauce for dinner. Cash took a super long nap on daddy while my mom and I cooked and woke up just in time to help with the dished! My mom always shows Cash what she's doing and lets him help. I know she can't wait to bake with him when he is a little older.

Our good friends Katee and Alejandro were without power so they stayed with us. We let Cash and Davey open one present each and then they had a blast playing with toys until bedtime. Cash opened his Grimm's Toys red wooden truck. I actually won it on Instagram during Grimm's Toy's Christmas Wish giveaway!

On Christmas morning Cash got to open his stocking, but it took him a while because he was so excited to finally get his hands on his stocking and play with all the sequins on it!

My dad bought Cash some Grimm's Toys wooden "marbles" (they are small wooden balls so I'm not sure why they call them marbles) and Nick and I bought him his very own electric toothbrush since he loves to play with our sonicare toothbrushes.

We had both of our families over for prime rib dinner and opened presents that evening. It took a while for Cash to get into opening his presents since we spent that last few weeks teaching him not to touch them! He got some great new toys, clothes and lots of new books! Cash loves to read so new books are always greatly appreciated! Nick and I read the same books over and over again everyday - we have most of the memorized!

When we finished opening presents Cash played with all of his new loot and we took some fun family photos. Cash is such a happy, silly baby but it is so hard to get him to smile for family pictures!

This was the best Christmas ever and I already can't wait for next year!
