Nursing/Eating: Cash
is nursing way less often now. I feel like we had a big shift in our nursing
relationship this past month. He nurses first thing in the morning and
sometimes a couple times once we get out of bed. We have breakfast and he
usually doesn’t nurse again until naptime. After he wakes up from his nap he
nurses a little and then sometimes nurses a few times before we go to bed and
nurse to sleep. I’m a little sad that he is nursing less but relieved at the
same time since my nipples are so soar. I hope to nurse Cash another year but
we will have to see how things go with the new baby. I really hope to be able
to tandem nurse!
Cloth Diapering/Potty
Learning: Cash is pretty much fully potty learned. He hasn’t had an
accident in so long. I honestly don’t remember the last time, but not in the
last month, that’s for sure. He wears little brief underwear during the day and
Sloomb trainers at night – just in case.
Sleep: We had a
few restless nights but for the most part Cash is sleeping really well. He goes
to bed between 9 and 9:30 and wakes up around 5 or 6 to nurse then sleeps until
7 usually. He still takes one nap a day which lasts anywhere from 1 ½ - 3
hours.
Likes/Dislikes: Cash
loves to read books! We read SO MANY books everyday! He also LOVES his hot
wheels cars, tractors and dump trucks – pretty much anything with 2 or more wheels.
He also loves to color with his beeswax crayons. He will scribble a bunch of
lines and make a bunch of circles and then tell you he drew a “sea lion” or
whatever animal he’s thinking about at that time. That brings us to another
thing he loves – animals! I bought him a Little People Nativity set to play
with and he is obsessed with the camel, goat and donkey. They go everywhere
with us, including bed. He has to put them “night night” on daddy’s pillow
before we can go to sleep. He also loves to help with anything we are doing,
vacuuming, cleaning, cooking, folding laundry…ANYTHING! It’s so adorable to
watch him imitate us and help out with everything.
Cash still doesn’t like brushing his teethe but now we have
the tickle monster (daddy) tickle his tummy and “eat” his belly button while we
brush so he is laughing instead of screaming while I brush. It’s WAY better!
Activities: With
the holidays in full swing we have been so busy! Thanksgiving, daddy’s
birthday, Cash’s birthday party, a visit from Auntie Shanna…November- January
is a busy time for us!
Health: Healthy
as a clam. His voice was a little horse for two days but I think it was from
crying one rough night not sickness.
Best Moment: All
of the holiday activities have been amazing. I couldn’t possibly pick one! Christmas
time is WAY better with a child to share it with!
One particular funny Christmas moment happened the other
night before bed. Cash backed up his booty into the Christmas tree, tooted and
said, “toot on da tree” and laughed his head off! He is always saying the
funniest things! I know he will have the best sense of humor!
